Page and Southeast Guilford are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. In other batting news, Maya Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jessica Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Even though they lost, Southeast Guilford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Southeast Guilford's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Page, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Page has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .595. However, it's not like Southeast Guilford struggles in that department as they've averaged .503. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
