Soccer Game Preview: Marmion vs. Loyola Academy

Marmion is 2-7 against Loyola Academy since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cadets will welcome the Ramblers at 6:00 p.m. Marmion's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Marmion's offense. They fell just short of St. Laurence by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Loyola Academy also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 2-0 to Maine West on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that Loyola Academy have lost by exactly two goals.

Loyola Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Marmion, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-2-1.

Marmion beat Loyola Academy by a goal in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 2-1. Do the Cadets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ramblers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
