Volleyball Recap: Estefany Carabeo and Lupita Rivera Secure Win for Williams

There's no place like home for Williams, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Biggs Wolverines 3-0 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Yellowjackets as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Williams was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-13.

Williams was led to victory by Lupita Rivera and Estefany Carabeo. Rivera had 13 digs and two aces, while Carabeo had seven digs and six aces. That's the most digs Carabeo has posted since back in September. Evelin Cano was another key player, getting four digs, two aces, and one block.

Williams' record now sits at 9-14. As for Biggs, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Biggs, after both having extra time off, they and Redding Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
