Softball Recap: West Wendover Takes a Loss

West Wendover managed to slip by Incline the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolverines came up short against the Highlanders on Saturday, falling 23-14. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Highlanders earlier this season, when they won 22-20.

Paola Rojas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Holliann Hillstead, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

West Wendover has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Incline, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

As of now, neither West Wendover nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
