Volleyball Recap: Southern Lehigh Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Southern Lehigh had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

While Southern Lehigh had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 13-25, 25-22, 25-20.

The win (which was Louis E. Dieruff's sixth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Lehigh will venture away from home to challenge Freedom at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Louis E. Dieruff, they will face off against Pocono Mountain West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
