Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Allie Kizzee and Ciara Elliott Lead Monrovia to Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Monrovia walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Park Tudor Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Leading Monrovia to victory were Ciara Elliott and Allie Kizzee. Elliott had ten digs and four aces, while Kizzee had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Elliott has posted over her last eight matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Monrovia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 10-5 when they serve at least ten aces.

Monrovia's record is now 11-20. As for Park Tudor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-12.

Coming up, Monrovia will face off against Covenant Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Park Tudor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
