Recap: West Morris Central Wolfpack vs. Wayne Valley Indians
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morris Catholic, the West Morris Central Wolfpack were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They secured a 64-58 W over Wayne Valley. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Wayne Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Apicella. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Omar Ali was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
West Morris Central's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Wayne Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing West Morris Mendham the next time they take the court. Wayne Valley will head out to face West Morris Mendham at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while West Morris Central will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
