Basketball Recap: Rock Hill Victorious

Rock Hill played in conference for the first time on Thursday and they got just the result they we're looking for. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 60-59 win over the Ironton Fighting Tigers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Redmen as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Rock Hill's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8. As for Ironton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Rock Hill won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ironton, they will head out on the road to square off against Portsmouth West on Saturday.
