Dan River was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Magna Vista Warriors 7-5. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kenley Cundiff was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Dan River is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Magna Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Dan River will welcome Altavista at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Magna Vista, they will head out on the road to square off against George Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
