It was a good run, but Franklin unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Waynesville Spartans by a score of 41-38. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Franklin had strong showings from Kai Cook, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds, and Kendol Roberts, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points. That was a full 47.4% of Franklin's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Clark, who put up two points and four steals.

Franklin's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Waynesville, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Franklin will challenge Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Franklin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season. As for Waynesville, they will host Carlisle at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
