Softball Recap: Kentwood Conquerors vs. Auburn Riverside Ravens        
        
		
            Kentwood extended their losing streak  to four  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-10 in the process. They came up short against  the Auburn Riverside Ravens, falling  12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  6-5  on April 2nd.
 Kentwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sofia Mottern Salinas, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run. Another  was  Ell Sakai, who  got on base  in both of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases.
As for Auburn Riverside, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12 runs.
On Auburn Riverside's side,  Kylee Curtis looked comfortable as she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Curtis has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 14 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Ashley Langford was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mayah Cabatan-Flowers, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Looking ahead, Kentwood will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Mt. Rainier  at 4:00  p.m. The Rams will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something the Conquerors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Auburn Riverside, they will take on Stadium at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Ravens' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.1  runs per game this season.
