The Rickover Naval Seadragons will head out on the road to square off against the Senn Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rickover Naval is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Rickover Naval proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over Mather.

Samantha Booth was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Booth was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times she's played.
In other batting news, Soli Correa was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Soleil Gonzales was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Senn entered their tilt with Prosser on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Falcons 17-8. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.
Like Rickover Naval, Senn also got a great game from a two-way player: Audrey Lebovitz. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Lebovitz was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Deja Boatman, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Kennedy Nash also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Senn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Senn's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Rickover Naval, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Rickover Naval might still be hurting after the 21-4 loss they got from Senn in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Seadragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
