Softball Recap: Pine-Richland Rams vs. Seneca Valley Raiders        
        
		
            
 Pine-Richland lost a close one when they played  last Friday but unfortunately for them the  loss they were handed  on Monday was a bit more commanding. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 22-3 walloping at the hands of the Seneca Valley Raiders. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pine-Richland in their matchups with Seneca Valley: they've now lost five in a row.
 For Seneca Valley's part,  Lexie Hames was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Hames has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than nine  strikeouts in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. Hames was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs and seven  RBI while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Paige Volz and  Rylee Kratochvil did most of the damage at the plate:  Volz  went 1-for-1 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Kratochvil  scored four  runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Kara Pasquale, who  scored four  runs while going 4-for-6.
 Pine-Richland now  has a losing record at 3-4. As for Seneca Valley, the  win for them keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine-Richland will take on Baldwin at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last four games Baldwin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Seneca Valley, they will be playing at home against North Allegheny at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
