            Baseball Recap: Soledad Aztecs vs. North Monterey County Condors        
        
		
        
        
            With a playoff win on the line, Soledad rose to the challenge  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  an  8-1 margin over the North Monterey County Condors. The  win continues a trend for the Aztecs in their matchups with the Condors: they've now won eight in a row.

 Ethan Sanchez made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Soledad is 6-2 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 4-15 otherwise. Sanchez was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances with two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Daniel Garcia, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.  Daniel Valenzuela Jr was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Soledad  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Monterey County struck out nine times.
Soledad's victory bumped their record up to 10-17. As for North Monterey County,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 15-12.
As of now, neither Soledad nor the Condors have any future games scheduled.
