If Saegertown was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rocky Grove last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Conneaut Area Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Saegertown actually scored more points across those five sets (112-111), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 20-25, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24, 18-16.

Saegertown's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Conneaut Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5-1 record this season.

Saegertown will venture away from home to face off against Meadville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Conneaut Area, they will face off against Fort LeBoeuf at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Bison at the right time seeing as the Bison are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
