For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Spring Valley and Lugoff-Elgin meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-60 victory over the Demons. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kensley Parks, who posted 12 points and five rebounds. David Cole was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

Despite the loss, Lugoff-Elgin still got an impressive performance from Milika Webber, who scored 17 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was JT Williams, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 18 points and six boards.

Spring Valley's record is now 6-7. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Spring Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-50 loss against Sumter on the 3rd. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they have also already played their next contest, a 66-43 win against West Florence on the 2nd.
