Basketball Recap: Smith County Takes a Loss

Smith County was the 61-60 winner over DeKalb County when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Smith County Owls fell 50-43 to the DeKalb County Tigers on Tuesday.

Smith County has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for DeKalb County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smith County will venture away from home to challenge Monterey at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for DeKalb County, they will challenge White County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
