Brea Olinda barely beat Yorba Linda the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 10-4 win on Thursday. Considering the Wildcats have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brea Olinda has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Yorba Linda, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Brea Olinda is set to square off against their familiar foe Crean Lutheran at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Wildcats' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Saints have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Yorba Linda will challenge rival Troy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
