Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Blue Jays vs. Bucklin Red Aces

Ashland hasn't had much luck against Bucklin recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Ashland Blue Jays will square off against the Bucklin Red Aces at 6:30 p.m.

Ashland is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 60-30 loss at the hands of South Gray. While losing is never fun, the Blue Jays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Rebels are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, Bucklin waltzed into their match on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 45-38.

Bucklin pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games. As for Ashland, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Ashland ended up a good deal behind Bucklin when the teams last played two weeks ago, losing 45-30. Can Ashland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
