Baseball Recap: Osceola Comes Up Short

Osceola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mondovi Buffaloes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftains of the 6-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mondovi, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osceola will welcome Baldwin-Woodville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chieftains' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackhawks have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Mondovi, they will challenge Chetek-Weyerhaeuser at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
