Basketball Recap: Taylor Skates Past Lampasas with Ease

Taylor lost to Lampasas on January 3rd, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Taylor Ducks blew past the Lampasas Badgers 50-17. The contest marked the Ducks' most dominant win of the season.

Taylor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tiana Candee, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. What's more, Candee also racked up four steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Kionayh Rivers was another key player, putting up six points along with 12 rebounds and eight assists.

Taylor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Taylor, bringing their record for this year to 11-16. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Lampasas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-19.

Taylor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-35 defeat against Jarrell on the 24th. As for Lampasas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 39-38 win against Marble Falls on the 24th.
