Football Game Preview: Fox Warriors vs. Poplar Bluff Mules

Fox is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Poplar Bluff a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Fox Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Poplar Bluff Mules at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Fox turned things around against Ladue Horton Watkins on Friday. They snuck past the Rams with a 26-20 win.

Meanwhile, Poplar Bluff beat Hillsboro 30-21 on Friday.

Poplar Bluff's record now sits at 3-6. As for Fox, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Fox came up short against Poplar Bluff in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, falling 24-19. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
