Recap: Chester Cyclones vs. Woodruff Wolverines
The Chester Cyclones's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 54-39 bruising from Woodruff. Chester has struggled against Woodruff recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Woodruff got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Robinson out in front who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Robinson pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Mcknight, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Chester's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Woodruff, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.
Chester will head out on the road to challenge Union County at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Union County is on a five-game streak of home losses, Chester a 15-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Woodruff will take on Emerald at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Emerald focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 last Friday.
