Basketball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Comes Up Short

ROWVA/Williamsfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

ROWVA/Williamsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

ROWVA/Williamsfield will challenge Monmouth United at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Monmouth United will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something ROWVA/Williamsfield surely won't give up without a fight. Cuba/Spoon River Valley has already played their next game (against Midwest Central/Delavan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
