Basketball Recap: Pius X Triumphs

On Thursday, it was close, but the Pius X Thunderbolts ultimately received the gift of a 68-65 win from a begrudging Thunderbolts squad.

Pius X's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Treynor, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Pius X and Sioux City East will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Treynor, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against IKM/Manning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Treynor knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully IKM/Manning likes a good challenge.
