Basketball Recap: Ferlandas Wright's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fairdale over Pleasure Ridge Park

After flying high against Holy Cross last Wednesday, Fairdale came back down to earth. The Fairdale Bulldogs fell just short of the Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers by a score of 62-60 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-68 back in January.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ferlandas Wright, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. Wright is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 21 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jarel Butler, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Fairdale's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.

Fairdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-74 loss against Jeffersontown on the 4th. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, they have also already played their next game, a 61-47 win against North Bullitt on the 4th.
