Hawthorne Math & Science Academy entered their tilt with Garey on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Garey Vikings. For the Aviators, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Hawthorne Math & Science Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 34-32.

The win got Hawthorne Math & Science Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Garey, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Hawthorne Math & Science Academy is taking a road trip to take on Geffen Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garey, they will head out to square off against Azusa at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Garey is facing Azusa at the right time seeing as Azusa is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
