Baseball Game Preview: Thornton Fractional North Meteors vs. East Chicago Central Cardinals

The Thornton Fractional North Meteors will head out on the road to face off against the East Chicago Central Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Thornton Fractional North hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Hammond Morton hit East Chicago Central with a seven-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals came up short against the Governors, falling 13-2. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Cardinals couldn't push the score so high this time.

East Chicago Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Thornton Fractional North, their loss dropped their record down to 5-23.

Thornton Fractional North couldn't quite get it done against East Chicago Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 17-12. Can the Meteors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
