Volleyball Recap: Woodlan Warriors vs. Norwell Knights
After flying high against Fort Wayne Northrop on Wednesday, Woodlan came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Norwell Knights on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-19.
Alyssa Anderson paced Woodlan's offense, picking up eight kills. Anderson got some help from Tori Crozier and her 20 assists. Anderson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maggie Smith, racking up two apiece.
Autumn Lee was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and five assists.
Having lost for the first time this season, Woodlan fell to 5-1. As for Norwell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
