Volleyball Recap: Guernsey-Sunrise Takes a Loss

Guernsey-Sunrise lost against Niobrara County back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1.

Guernsey-Sunrise's offense was headlined by AllyAnn Dimas and Kierstyn Collar, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Alexis Atwood and her seven assists. Collar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Guernsey-Sunrise has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Niobrara County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Guernsey-Sunrise didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against HEM on the 13th. Niobrara County has also already played their next game (against Riverside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
