Soccer Game Preview: Lebanon vs. West Lafayette

Lebanon hasn't had much luck against West Lafayette recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will square off against the Red Devils at 7:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Lebanon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against North Montgomery as they made off with a 4-1 win. Lebanon haven't had any issues with North Montgomery recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Lebanon hit North Montgomery with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sophie Winningham, Autumn Jones, Taylor Furgason, and Carly Furgason.

Meanwhile, West Lafayette kept a clean sheet against Frankfort on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Hot Dogs with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering West Lafayette have won seven matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lebanon's victory bumped their record up to 11-3-3. As for West Lafayette, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Lebanon might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from West Lafayette when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
