Basketball Game Preview: Eastmont Wildcats vs. Davis Pirates

Eastmont hasn't had much luck against Davis recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Eastmont Wildcats will get right back to it and host the Davis Pirates at 4:30 p.m. Eastmont is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Eastmont will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Moses Lake, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Eastmont came out on top against Moses Lake by a score of 46-33 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly 13 points.

Meanwhile, Davis is ranked highly in their home state and two weeks ago they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Willamette. Davis fell to Willamette 79-75. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (62), the Pirates still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Davis and nudges their season record down to 8-2. As for Eastmont, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Eastmont took a serious blow against Davis in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 83-36. Can Eastmont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
