After a string of four wins, Tri-Point's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Grace Christian Academy Crusaders by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Tri-Point sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-23.

Khloe Miller-Dyrby paced Tri-Point's offense, picking up five kills. Miller-Dyrby got some help from Rachel Darda and her nine assists. Miller-Dyrby was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Tri-Point now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Grace Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Tri-Point wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Georgetown-Ridge Farm on the 20th. As for Grace Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Kankakee on the 22nd.
