Basketball Game Preview: Newark Yellowjackets vs. MOT Charter Mustangs

The Newark Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the MOT Charter Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newark is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Newark is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against St. Georges Tech on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Newark was dealt a 61-24 defeat at the hands of St. Georges Tech. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Hawks are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, MOT Charter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 41-36 to Wilmington Friends. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Quakers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for MOT Charter, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.
