Football Recap: Longmont Trojans vs. Monarch Coyotes
Longmont kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 43-13 loss at the hands of the Monarch Coyotes. Despite 66 more yards than the Coyotes, the Trojans couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Despite the loss, Longmont saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jacob Foot rushed for 173 yards and one score.

Monarch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Tharp led the charge by picking up 68 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
