Softball Recap: Williams Comes Up Short

Williams fell victim to Western Alamance and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Williams has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Western Alamance, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Williams will square off against Grimsley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Whirlies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Western Alamance, they will take on Cedar Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Red Wolves have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
