Basketball Game Preview: Altoona-Midway Jets vs. Southern Coffey County Titans

The Altoona-Midway Jets will be taking part in a tournament against the Southern Coffey County Titans at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Altoona-Midway is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.

Altoona-Midway picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 63-29 victory over Chetopa. With the Jets ahead 34-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.

William Stackhouse continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 17 rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 30 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kieran Foster, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists.

Altoona-Midway was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Southern Coffey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Chetopa, falling 40-16.

Southern Coffey County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Altoona-Midway, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Altoona-Midway against Southern Coffey County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 85-19 victory.
