Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Legacy Christian Academy's 11th in Last 14 Outings

Legacy Christian Academy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Fort Worth Country Day Falcons get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Abby Ashbrook made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Lynlee Kennedy was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Maddy Bertsch, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Legacy Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Legacy Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-1 record this season.
