Deming (N.M.) defeated
Santa Fe (N.M.) 34-6 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Ballinas in the first quarter, the Wildcats led 20-0 at the half.
Deming expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. DHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Sandoval.
The Demons'
Jordan Booth - Homer was the standout player for his team. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
Santa Fe's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Booth - Homer in the fourth quarter.
The defeat comes as a step back for Santa Fe, which notched a 49-13 victory over Albuquerque in its previous outing.
Deming (2-1) will play a non-conference game against Mescalero Apache next week, while Santa Fe (1-2) will take on Piedra Vista also in a non-conference game.
