Baseball Recap: North Myrtle Beach Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

North Myrtle Beach never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Carolina Forest Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Chiefs: when they faced off against the Panthers last Monday, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

The result came thanks to Gabe Priest's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Asa Board was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Brown Reaves was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

North Myrtle Beach pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Carolina Forest, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

North Myrtle Beach will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
