Basketball Recap: Purcell Comes Up Short

Purcell lost against Washington back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Purcell Dragons fell 61-50 to the Washington Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Warriors are ranked fifth).

Purcell is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Purcell will head out to challenge Pauls Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Washington, they are taking a road trip to face off against Comanche at 6:30 p.m. on January 14th.
