Football Recap: New Paltz Takes a Loss + How To Watch

New Paltz played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Port Jervis Raiders 56-7. The loss continues a trend for the Huguenots in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Nick Drewnowski threw for 71 yards on six of nine attempts. Malcolm Dillehay was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards. On the ground, Nicolas Burda rushed for 95 yards.

Port Jervis was led to victory by Dylan Fox and Amato Natale. Fox threw for 276 yards and five touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes, while Natale gained 238 total yards and two touchdowns. Thanks to that big game, Fox is now up to 16 passing touchdowns on the season.

New Paltz's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Port Jervis, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Meanwhile, Port Jervis is set to take on their familiar foe Marlboro Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raiders 9.4, the Dukes 6.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
