Everything went their way against True Gospel Christian as Oak Level Baptist Academy made off with a 15-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Conquerors considering their one-run performance the game before.
Olive Carter was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Alleyah Rousseau was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Union Grove Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Triad Baptist Christian Academy with a sharp 12-1 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.
Morgan Donovant made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 18 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Those 18 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabella Lott, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Maddy McDaniel, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Oak Level Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Union Grove Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Oak Level Baptist Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Union Grove Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
