Preview: Eastern Musketeers vs. Scottsburg Warriors
The Scottsburg Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Eastern Musketeers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are close in the Indiana state rankings (Scottsburg is ranked 228th, while Eastern is ranked 242nd).
After a disappointing seven points in their last game, Scottsburg made sure to put some points up on the board against Mitchell on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-6 victory over Mitchell. With Scottsburg ahead 49-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Langdon Holbrook was the offensive standout of the game as he picked up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Eastern had not historically done well against Salem (they were 0-8 over their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let that get them down. They slipped by Salem on Friday 22-21.
It was another big night for Brayden Jones, who rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Jones is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Scottsburg's victory pushed their record up to 4-3, while Eastern's bumped their own up to the opposite: 3-4.
Scottsburg didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Eastern when the teams last played last October, but they still walked away with a 28-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scottsburg since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
