Basketball Game Preview: Durand Railroaders vs. Ovid-Elsie Marauders

Durand is 2-8 against Ovid-Elsie since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Durand Railroaders just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ovid-Elsie Marauders at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Durand's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Wednesday, Durand beat Swan Valley 57-47. The 57-point effort marked the Railroaders' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Ovid-Elsie was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past Hill-McCloy 63-29.

Durand's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Ovid-Elsie, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Durand beat Ovid-Elsie 59-48 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Durand since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
