Softball Recap: North Vikings vs. Central Christian Comets

North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Central Christian Comets, falling 25-11.

Phewona Ghalley made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Central Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

North will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Firestone at 5:00 p.m. on the 5th. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-0 defeat against Mansfield Christian on the 27th.
