Wells extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They came up short against the Crown Point Panthers, falling 29-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wells CSD of the 30-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Crown Point, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wells will venture away from home to square off against Boquet Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Griffins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.25 runs per game on average), something the Wells CSD will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Crown Point, they will head out to face off against Johnsburg Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
