Basketball Game Preview: Dallas Dragons vs. McKay Royal Scots

The Dallas Dragons will challenge the McKay Royal Scots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Dallas and five for McKay.

Dallas came up short against South Albany on Tuesday, falling 71-47. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Redhawks are ranked 53rd).

Meanwhile, McKay was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 60-55 to Woodburn. The matchup marked the Royal Scots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dallas' loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for McKay, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Dallas strolled past McKay when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 73-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dallas since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
