Football Recap: Peetz Skates Past Arickaree with Ease

Peetz extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Arickaree Bison 50-20. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Logan Vallier threw for 151 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes. Tanner Wood was his top target, picking up 94 receiving yards and a pair of scores. On the ground, Dylan Wagner rushed for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries.

As for Arickaree, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Arickaree lost, don't look at Austin Wright. Despite the final result, he rushed for 255 yards and three scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Wright showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 54 yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Peetz will square off against North Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Arickaree, they will challenge Idalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison's defense better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 64.6 points per game this season.
