Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shelby). They breezed by the Cherryville Ironmen on the road to the tune of 70-0 on Friday. Given the Golden Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Ironmen are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lan Farmer was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score. Tristan Tate was another key player, rushing for 56 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
